Lake Lanier Association's Shore Sweep
The 19th Annual Shore Sweep will take place on September 29, 2007

The LLA’s 19th Annual Shore Sweep will be held on September 29, 2007, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Download the Shore Sweep flyer.

A new plan is being tested in Dawson County to make Shore Sweep more effective, efficient and more enjoyable.   Unlike prior years, work to be done will be divided into  (no #) work groups.  For example, one work group will do preparatory work.   Prior to September 29 they will locate loose styrofoam, stake and rope it, and move it to the shore line for pick up on the 29th;  they will also bag trash and place it on the shore line for pick up on the 29th.  On the 29th another work group will take the sytrofoam and trash by boat to War Hill Park

Volunteers coming by road may pick up bags at War Hill Park.  Please return filled trash bags to War Hill Park for collection.

Your Dawson County Shore Sweep Coordinators are Gordon Brand and Dick McNeill, longstanding LLA members and residents of Dawson.  Gordon and Dick are asking you to for help by volunteering your time and boat/pontoon (if you have one).  To volunteer contact Gordon (706-216-4725) or Dick (706-216-4763).  They will provide complete details.

Let us know which areas of the lake need trash picked up!
