Please attend the public meeting tomorrow at Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville. The meeting will focus on the management of two river basins including the ACF/Lake Lanier. The meeting has been organized by US Senators Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss and US. Representative Nathan Deal.
Testifying will be:
- Brig. Gen. Michael Walsh, commander of the USACE’s South Atlanta Division,
- Governor Sonny Perdue, Forsyth Co. Commission Chair, Jack Conway,
- Hall Co. Chamber of Commerce president, Kit Dunlap,
- Lake Lanier Association president, Jackie Joseph.
The format of this meeting has been changed from a public forum to a formal hearing. It is our understanding the public will have the opportunity to ask questions after the hearing.
