POP Agreement

The Property Owner Pledge Agreement is a friendly contract that property owners
around Lake Lanier can sign to pledge their help in minimizing, and even preventing,
pollution from running from their property into the lake.

The Property Owner Pledge agreement is a opportunity for us to communicate with lake-front property owners about best practices for managing their property to protect water quality. It is a community outreach program aimed at education around residential water management, septic tanks, garbage disposal, etc. and then displaying adherence to the recommended practices by placing a small metal yard sign by the mailbox or front entrance to the home to let friends and neighbors know that you are doing your part in protecting Lake Lanier.

We have the Property Owner Pledge agreement and the metal signs with us at most of our member events like the Annual Meeting and the Atlanta Boat Show. That is a great time to sign the pledge and get your yard sign at the same time. If you don’t make it out to one of our member events, email us at lakeinfo@lakelanier.org to set up an appointment to meet us at our office to pick up your yard sign.
