Call for Volunteers — Shore Sweep 2017 Advance Shoreline Scouting!

August 25th, 2017 Posted by Clean Lake 0 comments on “Call for Volunteers — Shore Sweep 2017 Advance Shoreline Scouting!”

The Lake Lanier Association needs help with advance scouting of lake shoreline prior to our Shore Sweep event which will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017. Advance scouting reports help us to more effectively dispatch volunteers on the day of the event. We are asking for volunteers to scout by boat different sections of shoreline and report back to us locations where trash and debris is sighted. You need a boat – probably a motor powered one, no kayaks or canoes for this one, and you need a smart phone or mobile device with the TrashOut app loaded on it. To get the TrashOut app, search for TrashOut in the app store. It is a free download. Once you have TrashOut on your device, set your profile to affiliate with the Lake Lanier Association organization. Once that is done, you are ready for scouting! If you are interested in signing up to be a scout, please click the below link for more information and the sign up form for the different scouting routes. Thank you for supporting the Lake Lanier Association and the Shore Sweep event!
