Meet Averie Wheeler, LLA Special Events & Marketing Intern
The Lake Lanier Association (LLA) is excited to host a college student, through our internship program, in efforts to help the next generation of professionals hone in on their marketing, program management, and interpersonal skills before their post-grad adventure begins.
For the Fall 2026 semester, we are pleased to officially announce our third semester of the LLA internship program and welcome a new intern to our team. LLA’s Board of Directors and staff are pleased to announce Averie Wheeler as our Special Events and Marketing Intern!
LLA interns get hands-on, real-world experience in a non-profit setting. This semester Averie will actively participate in social media and email marketing campaigns, special events, like Shore Sweep, Lunch and Learns, and more. She’s invited to engage with our community partners, sponsors and donors – just as any staff member would do. The LLA team is excited to share our passion for Lake Lanier and our on-lake programs with her.
Be on the lookout for Averie in-office and at LLA events; we hope you have an opportunity to meet her while she’s on our team! Get to know her by reading the bio below.
