Dock Builder’s Pledge

Supporting a Clean and Safe Lake Lanier

As an added element of the Lake Lanier Association’s ongoing Abandoned and Derelict Docks & Vessels (ADDV) Program, the LLA has developed the Dock Builder’s Pledge.

We are encouraging all Lake Lanier residents to utilize the companies who have agreed to abide by the Dock Builder’s Pledge for repairing or removing your dock. We would also like all lake residents to understand that they are responsible for the proper disposal of derelict docks, boats, floats, and other related items.

The LLA has no enforcement authority over companies and individuals who abandon docks, floats, or vessels on the lake. But by monitoring repair and removal activities, we hope to identify transgressors, remove them from our list, and report them to the proper authorities. We hope that by working together we can reduce and even eliminate the dumping and abandoning of derelict docks and floats on Lake Lanier.

If you’re a dock builder ready to take the pledge:

The LLA Dock Builder’s Pledge is open now and accepting submissions on a rolling basis. Dock companies may take the
pledge in one of two ways:

1) To take the pledge virtually please click the first button below.

2) Alternatively, companies may access the PDF version below to complete the pledge and submit it in-person at LLA’s office or email a PDF to lakeinfo@lakelanier.org. If you would like to take the pledge in-office, please ensure you make an appointment so we don’t miss you!

Thank you for supporting a Clean and Safe Lake Lanier. It takes all of us to make a lasting impact on the lake we live, work, and play on all year-round!
