Jacquelyn Guhl was named Communications and Membership Coordinator in March 2024. She attended Samford University in Birmingham, AL and earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with a focus in public relations. She also has a minor in Spanish.
During her time at school, Jacquelyn was passionate about non-profit work. She helped market and create an on-campus campaign for United Way of Central Alabama which brought awareness to childhood education and hunger. In later years, she interned at Make-A-Wish Alabama where she developed crucial communications skills that include writing press releases, running social media accounts, and helping plan fundraisers.
As a resident of Georgia for the last sixteen years, Jacquelyn grew up visiting Lake Lanier occasionally. After meeting her now husband, an Alpharetta native, she developed a newfound love for the lake as a whole and the area surrounding it. This connection paired with the belief that we should all be good stewards of this beautiful resource makes Jacquelyn a great fit for this role.
Jacquelyn will bring many positive attributes to the LLA team including strong interpersonal skills, a love for writing, creative thinking, and a drive to build long lasting relationships for the LLA. During her free time, she remains passionate about animals and nature. She can be found spending much of her time outdoors or with her husband and many cats.
