Lake Lanier Mini-Cleanup – Three Sisters Islands and Surrounding Areas

Join LLA for a mini-cleanup at Three Sisters Islands and other shoreline in the surrounding area! With summer in full swing, the islands could use some extra love and attention. Lots of bottles, trash and debri are left behind or washed up on shore. The cleanup will be held Saturday, June 17th – beginning at 9am and will wrap up around noon. Let’s give our beloved Lanier a little TLC!
Boats, PWC and kayaks are needed for this cleanup! NO FLOAT CLEANUP, ONLY DEBRIS AND SMALL TRASH.
LOCATION – Supply Pickup and Dumpster Located at Aqualand!
Location Details – Aqualand work area / backside boat ramp. If you are familiar with this Shore Sweep site, this is also the same location that LLA uses as a Shore Sweep site each September.

WHAT TO BRING – Volunteers are asked to bring a positive attitude and clothes that can get dirty! Sturdy closed-toe shoes are recommended. Long sleeves and long pants are highly encouraged. Participants should bring their own snacks and reusable water bottle. Supplies and trash bags for the cleanup will be provided.
NOTE – Whether walking, wading, or paddling, most of our cleanups involve getting in or near water and collecting trash that is typically covered with sand or sediment. Be ready to get dirty! We promise you’ll have fun and there are always great pictures taken.
