The annual cleanup at Lake Lanier parks is just around the corner.
Shore Sweep, put on each year by the Lake Lanier Association, has begun its annual cleanup initiative.
Since its founding 36 years ago, Shore Sweep volunteers have removed over 2.33 million pounds of trash from Lake Lanier’s shores. At the 2024 event alone, over 1200 volunteers cleaned up 85 tons of trash.
